Getting Started

To start creating your book illustration(s), we will need:

  • Completed questionnaire, including choosing your style and describing the scenes

After your purchase, we will send you an email with information on sending us the above.

Our Process

  • Getting Started items sent to BookReady.
  • We will create and send you a line art sketch for each illustration and one full-colored sample.
  • If needed, there is one round of edits at this stage.
    We will consider the stage approved if we do not receive any feedback after 30 calendar days and move on to the next stage.
  • After all the line art is approved, we will add color to the illustrations and send them to you.
  • If needed, there is one round of edits at this stage.
    We will consider the project approved if we do not receive any feedback after 5 business days.
  • Once you approve the colored book illustrations, we will send you the final, print-ready files.

Timeline

Once we have your Getting Started items, the initial illustration stage will take 2-4 weeks, depending on the number and complexity of the book illustrations. After that, it depends on the level of alterations and the timeliness of your feedback.
